Mayors Cup resumes on Sunday en route to finals

The 22nd edition of Annual Mayor’s Cup is ready and rearing to excite the crowds when action resumes on Sunday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Bourda, with four thrilling matches.
The knock-out competition will pick up where you left off with the first game kicking off at 15:00h – spectators will see the Police team face Campton followed by Riddim Squad vs Beavers at 17:00h.
The third match of the day will be battled between Santos FC and Pouderoyen from 19:00h.

The last contest of the night will be played between Western Tigers and Den Amstel at 21:00h.
The tournament will then head into the quarter final stage scheduled for Friday, August 19, and then semi finals on Sunday, August 21. The finals will be played the following Sunday, August 28.
All of the matches will be played at the GFC ground, Bourda.
The teams will all be battling for the top prize of $700,000 and a trophy, compliments of Aruwai Resort while the second place finisher will receive $300,000 and the ANSA McAL trophy. Third place will take home $200,000 as well as a trophy made possible by John Fernandes and fourth place shall walk away with $100,000 and the Ministry of State trophy. Additionally, winners will receive hampers from Ricks and Sari.
The top goal-scorer of the tournament will be the recipient of a three-piece suite, compliments of AH&L Kissoon.
