Magistrate Clive Nurse on Tuesday dismissed the case against four men accused of stealing a minibus, property of the Linden Mayor and Town Council (LM&TC) in March 2015.
The accused: Preston Skeete, Harold Rogers and Shawn Wilson of Central Amelia’s Ward, Mackenzie, Linden and Clifford Hilliman of Dennis Street, Sophia, Greater Georgetown, appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court to answer to the charge of simple larceny.
The four were alleged to have stolen the minibus valued $3.5 million between March 1 and 2, 2015 at Wisroc, Wismar, Linden.
However, when the case was called on Tuesday, Magistrate Nurse in his ruling found that there was insufficient evidence against the accused, and the matter was dismissed.
