Jermine Proctor, 32, a miner of Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara (ECD), who was charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, has been remanded to prison.
Proctor was arrested on Thursday and appeared before Magistrate Caressa Henry at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court on Monday, where the charges were read to him.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison September 29, 2026.

Proctor was found to be in possession of a Glock pistol, one magazine, and three live rounds of ammunition as police were conducting investigations into an alleged robbery at Issano Backdam, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni).
