Batting first, Strikers managed 103 all out in 19.3 overs, while MMZ achieved the target in 19 overs, ending on 107-6.
The ball got rolling early for MMZ when the Strikers opener, former Guyana batsman Richard Ramdeen, was removed for a golden duck. Ramdeen was caught at covers playing the very first ball of the match, which was bowled by eventual “Player of the Match” Nicholas Chinkoo.
Strikers’ wickets continued to fall at regular intervals as MMZ injected some tight bowling. Mohammad Asif, batting at number six for Strikers, was the top-scorer with 36 from 34 balls, which included three sixes and two fours.
