A mother of three was on Friday evening hacked to death by her jealous husband at their home in Bartica, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni).
Dead: Natoya Speed
Dead is 37-year-old Natoya Speed, a primary school teacher. While information remains sketchy, Guyana Times understands that the woman and her husband were engaged in a heated argument after he accused of her being unfaithful.
The argument escalated into an altercation during which the man armed himself with a cutlass and started to chop the woman in the full view of their three children. The man was arrested and is assisting the police with their investigation.
The woman’s body was taken to the Bartica Hospital Mortuary.
