Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) secured a comfortable six-wicket victory over Everest Cricket Club in the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Under-17 Eline Security Logistics 50-Overs competition at the Malteenoes Sports Club ground.
Everest, winning the toss and electing to bat first, endured a shaky start as Tyler Nedd struck early for MSC, rattling the stumps of Danveer Singh.
However, Vinesh Kalpoo provided resistance with a well-compiled 74 from 82 deliveries, including four fours and three sixes. Despite his efforts, wickets continued to fall around him, and Everest were eventually bowled out for 164 in 34.3 overs.
Nedd was the pick of the MSC bowlers with three for 19, while Joshua Bollers and Nathaniel Ramkallawan claimed two wickets apiece.

MSC responded confidently, reaching 168 for four in just 25 overs to complete the six-wicket victory.
An unbeaten 42 from 33 balls, decorated with three fours and a six, led the successful chase, while Joshua Budhram contributed a valuable 39 from 35 deliveries and Shane Kissoondeo added 28 from 32.
Brandon Brown was the most successful Everest bowler, claiming two for 29.
The competition continues today, with Georgetown Cricket Club set to face Everest at the Queen’s College Cricket Ground, while GT XI will take on Demerara Cricket Club at Transport Sports Club.
Both encounters are expected to provide another opportunity for the young cricketers to showcase their developing skills in the 50-over format.
