Golden Jaguars face 4-match Nations League test in 11 days

Guyana’s Golden Jaguars will play four matches in 11 days when they begin their 2026/27 Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Nations League campaign in September.
The senior men’s national team will compete in League B and open against Puerto Rico on September 24 at 15:00h at Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica.
Guyana will return to the same venue three days later to face the Cayman Islands at 15:00h. The team will then travel to Puerto Rico for consecutive matches against Dominica.
The first meeting with Dominica is scheduled for October 1 at 17:00h at the Estadio Centroamericano Juan Figueroa Freyre in Mayagüez. Guyana will close the September-October FIFA Match Window against the same opponent on October 4 at 15:00h at that venue.

The Golden Jaguars are one of 16 teams competing in League B. The teams have been placed into four groups of four, with each country required to play six group-stage matches across the September-October and November FIFA Match Windows.
Each team will face its three group opponents twice, and the winner of each group will advance to the League B Championship to compete for the title.
The group matches will be staged at centralised venues. The format was introduced during the previous edition to reduce travel demands and help CONCACAF member associations maintain high standards when hosting matches.
This season marks the fifth edition of the CONCACAF Nations League, which will feature 41 member associations. The tournament gives national teams across the region regular competitive matches against opponents of similar levels and also provides an important route towards qualification for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Competition will continue in November, while the 2026/27 Nations League will conclude in March 2027. The final window will feature the League A Nations League Finals and, for the first time, centralised championship tournaments for Leagues B and C.
CONCACAF will announce the schedules for the November 2026 and March 2027 windows at a later date.
The Golden Jaguars will now focus on preparing for their opening fixtures as they seek a positive start and a place in the inaugural League B Championship.
