Mt Sinai crush Tucber Park in BCB Under-13

Mt Sinai Cricket Club, from Angoy’s Avenue, crushed the favourite team, Tucber Park, in the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) Under-13 tournament.
Playing at the Rose Hall Canje (RHC) Community Centre Ground, the Mt Sinai team displayed all-round skill to record a 112-run win to top Zone B, and qualified for the quarter final.
Batting first, Mt Sinai scored 191-9 from their allotted 40 overs. Jovel Dejonge led all batters with a classy 63, and Darwin Williamson scored 33.
In response. Tucber Park was bundled out for 79.

Elijah Bhandan, Melroy Grant, and Shawn Hubbard took one wicket each.
In the opening round, eleven-year-old Justin Southwell Brilliance led Mount Sinai to an impressive win against RHC.
RHC made 90 all out in their backyard as Justin Southwell led with 3-18 from eight overs, and Melroy Grant Jr made 3-22 from five overs.
Mt Sinai cruised to 96-1 in 16 overs with Justin Southwell scoring a fine 43 not out and Alden Hope hitting 26 not out as Mt Sinai defied all odds to claim back-to-back wins.
