Cyclists will gather at the National Park on Saturday, September 26, to honour the late Alanzo Greaves at a memorial race

race featuring four competition groups and more than GY$800,000 in prizes.
Presented by Kaieteur Attack Racing Cycle Club (KARCC) under the theme “Honouring a Champion”, the event is scheduled to begin at 09:00h. Entry costs GY$1,000.
The programme includes categories for young riders, elite competitors, masters and female cyclists, alongside BMX and upright races.
Group One will bring together juveniles, Category Four riders, masters aged 50 and over, and females. Elite cyclists, masters aged 35 and over, and juniors will compete in Group Two.
BMX and upright riders make up Group Three, while Group Four is designated as the open race. The four-group format provides opportunities for cyclists across several age groups and racing categories to participate in the tribute.
The event is supported by Matrix Taxi Service, Chung’s Global Inc., Jason Rambarran and Café Sol Restaurant & Bar.
Promoted with the message “Ride In Power”, the Alanzo Greaves Memorial Race is being organised in honour of the former national champion who tragically passed away in an accident a year ago in September.
