Need for Speed Karting Championship heads to South Dakota for Round 2

The Need for Speed Karting Championship will shift to the South Dakota Circuit for its second round on November 14 and 15, with competitors continuing their pursuit of more than GY$17 million in prize money across several categories.
Organisers Jumbo Jet Events are preparing for another packed weekend of racing, with qualifying scheduled for Saturday before race day gets underway at 10:00h on Sunday.
The championship features one of the largest prize pools offered in local karting, with the headline LO206 Briggs & Stratton Light category carrying a GY$4 million, or US$20,000, first prize.
Several other classes will reward their winners with GY$2 million, while top prizes in the remaining categories range from GY$1 million to GY$1.5 million.
Drivers will compete in the LO206 Briggs & Stratton Light, Heavy, Junior and Cadet classes, along with the Honda GX200, IAME 125cc, LO206 Rookie Over-35 and LO206 Female divisions. Supermoto Senior and Junior competition will also form part of the programme.

Veteran competitors will also have an opportunity to battle for a major payday through the Pro Drivers class, which is open to racers aged 50 and over. The winner of that category will collect GY$2 million.
Jumbo Jet Events said considerable work has been put into preparations for the second round as the organisers look to deliver another strong experience for spectators.
The organising team has also been in discussions with promoters as part of efforts to provide a high-quality viewing area for spectators at the South Dakota Circuit.
Tyre regulations have been established for the various categories, with most classes set to use MG Red tyres. The IAME 125cc competitors will race on MG Yellow tyres.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, Jumbo Jet, XCMG and Synotruck.
