The East Coast Cricket Board (ECCB) Naven’s Construction First Division 50 Overs Competition resumed over the weekend, with Ogle recording a convincing four-wicket victory over LBI A at the Ogle Cricket Ground on Sunday.
LBI A, after winning the toss, elected to bat first but struggled against a disciplined Ogle bowling attack and was dismissed for just 99 in 16.1 overs.
N. Mathura provided the main resistance for LBI A, top-scoring with 38 runs, but the remainder of the batting lineup failed to make significant contributions.
Inderjeet Nanan was the chief destroyer for Ogle, claiming four wickets for just seven runs from his three overs. Deion Thomas provided excellent support, taking two wickets for 13 runs from 2.1 overs as Ogle quickly wrapped up the LBI A innings.

In reply, Ogle made light work of the modest target, reaching 100 for four from just 10 overs to secure victory with 40 overs to spare.
Andrew Samaroo led the successful run chase with a well-played 34, while Michael Deonarine contributed 30 to ensure Ogle remained comfortably ahead of the required run rate throughout the innings.
N. Khan was the most successful bowler for LBI A, claiming three wickets for 30 runs from his three overs, but Ogle’s batsmen maintained control to complete the four-wicket win.
The result gives Ogle a positive start to the resumption of the East Coast Cricket Board’s Naven’s Construction First Division 50-Overs Competition, while LBI A will look to regroup for their upcoming fixture.
