Olympian Chelsea Edghill secures sponsorship for Tokyo and beyond
The Guyana Lottery Company today announced their one-year sponsorship of national Table Tennis champion Chelsea Edghill.
The sponsorship would help one of the country’s most decorated athletes to focus on not only competing at the Tokyo Olympics, but also reaching the World Championships and other major tournaments across Europe.

“We’re happy to be associated with Chelsea Edghill and her amazing journey. However, she still needs as much support as possible; so I hope other entities can support her and other athletes, because their glory and success is success for all Guyanese,” said a representative of the GLC.
Edghill expressed gratitude for this timely intervention, which would allow her to plan and prepare properly for all stages of her career.
GTTA President Godfrey Munroe, who was on hand, shared, “This is a major intervention and an example of the much-needed corporate support for our association and, by extension, our elite athletes. This partnership enables the progression of the association’s strategy beyond Tokyo, and we look forward to similar opportunities with entities seeking to invest in the sport.” (GTTA Release)
