Police charged for forging sick leave form

A Police Constable was on Tuesday placed on $50,000 bail when he appeared before Linden Magistrate Wanda Fortune to answer three counts of uttering forged documents committed on Public Justice.
Omali Lloyd denied the charges, but the Prosecution is contending that on two occasions, the Police Constable produced sick leave forms from two doctors and leave form purportedly signed by an officer, and upon verification, none was proven to be authentic.
He was placed on $25,000 bail each on two of the three charges, and was granted self-bail on the third charge. A condition for his being placed on bail is that the cop has to lodge his passport at the Wismar Police Station and report thereto weekly until the completion of his cases. The matters have been adjourned to January 22.
