Police in Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni) have discovered 1.10 kilograms (kg) of ganja during separate operations on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
In the first instance, Police were conducting an operation at Mahdia Arcade where ranks found one black plastic bag containing five transparent plastic bags with 207 transparent Ziploc bags of cannabis hiding under a black water tank in an abandoned area.
The cannabis later weighed and amounted to 200 grams (g).
In the second incident, Police were on patrol in the 111 Miles, Mahdia, area, during which they found one white plastic bag containing cannabis in an alley across from the Mahdia Arcade.
The ganja was taken to the Mahdia Police Station, where it was weighed and amounted to 960g. No arrests were made as investigations continue into both discoveries.
