Police seeking identity of miner killed in mining pit accident
The Guyana Police Force has requested the assistance of the public in identifying a miner who was killed in a mining pit in Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni).
The tattoo on the man’s forearm
Police said the man was identified as “Vibes” and is reportedly of 4 Miles Port Kaituma, North West District (NWD).
Unidentified man
Based on reports, the deceased is about 21 years old, and is of Amerindian decent. He is said to be about 5 feet 5 inches in height, and has a tattoo on his right forearm.
The individual reportedly died on June 28, 2021, in an alleged mining pit incident which occurred at Blackwater Backdam, Cuyuni River.
