A Police rank who was heading home on Monday evening was attacked and robbed of his motorcycle along Tuschen Public Road, East Bank Essequibo (EBE).
The rank, 22-year-old Kellon Davis of Tuschen New Housing Scheme, EBE, was driving his motorcycle and in the vicinity of Light Street, Tuschen, he was attacked by the two identifiable males.
Police investigations revealed that Davis slowed down his motorcycle at a speed bump and was approached by the two suspects, who were walking on the road at the time.
One of the men reportedly pulled out a knife and ordered the Police rank off his bike, a black CB 1 Honda.
In addition, the other male, who was unarmed, subsequently picked up a piece of wood and advanced towards the cop and out of fear for his life, he jumped off the motorcycle.
The two suspects then jumped onto the said motorcycle and rode off the scene. The matter was reported and the Police have launched an investigation.
Up to press time, no arrests were made.
