Ramdhani siblings awarded for performances in Canadian Athletics Conference

Narayan Ramdhani and his sibling Priyanna Ramdhani, currently ranked among the best Badminton players in the Canadian Collegiate circuit, have recently earned top-notch awards.
In spite of personal loss, Priyanna and Narayan, who have made podium positions throughout the 2021-2022 season, have both been recognised and awarded for their performances at the Alberta Colleges’ Athletics Conference.
For the first time in his illustrious career, Narayan, who plays for the Kings’ University, was able to cop the ACAC Male Player of the Year award (Most prestigious award at the championship), and was named in the Men’s Badminton All Conference Award. This is the third consecutive season that Narayan has made it to the All-Conference Award.
Meanwhile, Olds’ College player Priyanna has been awarded the Women’s Badminton All Conference Award.
The Ramdhanis are both on scholarship at the Kings University and Olds College, and represented their respective schools at the championship.
Next on the agenda for the siblings is the ACAC Badminton Championship (Provincials), which is currently being played at Olds College. The tournament is also the qualifiers for nationals to represent Alberta Colleges at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (Nationals), which is also scheduled to be played during this month.
In Guyana, the Ramdhani siblings have stepped up to the plate, spearheading a number of major initiatives on part of the Guyana Badminton Association. Only last year, the duo acted as coaches in the GBA’s Introduction to Badminton, Air-Badminton, and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport’s Badminton Academy (Nursery) programme.
