Rio Inn manager charged for operating brothel

The manager of a popular night club and bar, Rio, was charged on Monday for operating a brothel at the place of his business knowing it to be illegal.
Andy Bynoe, who denied the offence, stood before Principle Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
The hotelier of Lot 248 Foreshaw and Oronoque Streets, Queenstown, was represented by Attorney-at-Law Keoma Griffith, who made a bail application on his behalf.
However, Police Prosecutor Quinn Harris requested that bail only be granted on the condition that the defendant lodges his passport and report to the Criminal Investigation Department every Friday until completion of the matter. Bynoe was released on $30,000. He will make his next court appearance on February 18, 2019.
