Round-of-16 battles ensue with Bent Street, Old Skool clash

The round-of-sixteen matches in the Corona Futsal tournament commences this evening with title favourites Bent Street facing Old Skool Ballers at the National Gymnasium.
Bent Street ended the group stages unbeaten in their three matches and inflicted some heavy defeats upon teams for which only four goals have been scored against them.

Some close and intense action is anticipated this evening at the National Gymnasium

Their star-studded team which includes the likes of Job Caesar, Kelsey Benjamin, Daniel Wilson, Pernell Schultz and Solomon Austin would have recently tasted championship glory in another competition. The group have looked a unit destined for another title.
On the opposing side is a relatively new outfit who have shown they are not intimidated by the big names and can easily spring a surprise.
The youth of Rashawn Ritch, Roy Caesar, Fabian Crawford and Omari James are a group Bent Street will be wary of their capabilities given they had one defeat which came against Future Stars.
Some of the other matches will see new comers Alpha Warriors who topped their group based on better goal difference with Showstoppers, clash with Mocha who came through one the basis of being a top third-place team.
Sophia battles the energetic Future Stars and California Square oppose the in-form Back Circle. Exhibition matches will commence from 19:30 but the crust of the night’s action starts from 20:30h.
The winning purse for teams is the $600,000 and the championship trophy while two Hero motor cycles will be awarded to the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and the other to a lucky spectator at the finals on Easter Saturday (March 31).
