Twenty-six-year-old Ezekiel Lewis, also called “Bell, “ a shopkeeper from Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was on Tuesday sentenced to three years and five months for the offense of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

Lewis was reportedly arrested on October 8, 2025, and subsequently charged on October 10, 2025. He first appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court before His Worship Magistrate Teriq Mohamed, where he pleaded not guilty and the matter proceeded to trial.
He was found guilty on June 30, 2026, and was sentenced to three years and five months of imprisonment.
