31st Annual Sir Garfield Sobers International Schools Cricket Tournament

– School of the Nations suffers heavy loss

Jeremiah Scott’s half-century inspired St. Joseph High School to its third win from four matches at the end of the first week of competition in the 31st Annual Sir Garfield Sobers International Schools Cricket Tournament.
At Foursquare, St Joseph High (Guyana) beat Queen’s College (Barbados) by eight wickets, with Scott leading the way with the bat for the Guyanese students.
Facing a reduced target of 115 from 30 overs, Scott spearheaded the chase with a top score of 72, as St. Joseph lost just two wickets. The right-handed batsman who plays for the Malteenoes Sports Club locally was supported by Kennard Moonsammy with 20, and Quentin Sampson with 15 not out.
