Parliamentary Secretary in the Public Utilities and Aviation Ministry, Thandi McAllister, has urged graduates of Parafait Harmony Primary School to remain committed to learning, reminding them that success extends beyond their National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) results.
According to a social media post by the Public Utilities and Aviation Ministry, McAllister delivered the feature address at the school’s graduation ceremony on Friday, which was held under the theme “A Future Worth Celebrating”.

During her address, she congratulated all the graduates on their achievements and commended those whose outstanding NGSA performances earned them placements at Queen’s College, St Stanislaus College, St Rose’s High School and St Joseph’s High School.
While acknowledging the students’ academic success, the Parliamentary Secretary encouraged them to view the examination as only one step in their educational journey.
She urged the graduates to remain dedicated to learning and called on parents, teachers and the wider community to continue supporting children as they pursue their goals.
McAllister also encouraged the students to use education as a means of shaping not only their own futures but also the future development of Guyana.
The remarks were shared by the page following the graduation ceremony.
