Suspected robber remanded

A suspected bandit was on Tuesday remanded to prison by Magistrate Leron Daly when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to two counts of robbery underarms.
Shamar Peters denied robbing Basil Aladdin of million on June 27, 2017, at South Ruimveldt Gardens, Georgetown.
It is further alleged that on the same day and location, Peters relieved Adrian Duncan of one cellular phone valued $20,000; property of the VC.
Police Prosecutor Sanj Singh posed a strong objected to bail, owing to the prevalence of the offences and the fact that a dangerous weapon was used in the commission of the crime. The case will continue on July 14.
