Team Shivraj delivered an impressive performance at the recently concluded Bartica Easter Regatta 2026, standing out among fierce competition and proving their determination on the water.
Despite facing significant horsepower disadvantages in some categories, the team demonstrated grit, skill, and technical preparation throughout the weekend’s racing activities.
Sanjay Ramkissoon highlighted the intense challenge faced in the prestigious Formula One category.
“The most challenging category was the F1 races, because we had a 120hp engine racing with two other 280hp engines, but we still managed to get a second in the race.”
Competing against nearly double the engine power, Team Shivraj’s second-place finish in the Formula One division was widely regarded as one of the event’s standout performances.
In preparation for the regatta, the team invested heavily in upgrades and mechanical improvements to boost performance.
“We bought a lot of new parts and did a lot of modifications just to get at least 3 to 4 km/h more in speed. Overall we did our best and will be doing a lot of adjustments to improve for future events,” Ramkissoon added.
Throughout the regatta, Team Shivraj secured multiple podium finishes across various categories, reinforcing their reputation as one of the competitive teams on the circuit. Their consistency across horsepower classes demonstrated both versatility and teamwork.
