Thief nabbed after robbing teacher outside school

A young teacher was left in a state of shock on Tuesday afternoon when two bandits robbed her of her necklace and motorcycle right in front of the school she teaches at in Sophia, Greater Georgetown.
Reports are at about 14:30h on Tuesday, the 20-year-old woman was in the process of leaving the school’s premises, when she was approached by two perpetrators who robbed her of the two items.
However, one of the men, who had the motorcycle in his possession was apprehended by public-spirited citizens and handed over to the police.
According to the police, the 33-year-old suspect of Front Road, West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, is co-operating with investigators. He is also being questioned in relation to several similar offences.
Meanwhile, the other perpetrator who goes by the alias “Red Man” is currently being sought by law enforcement officials. Investigations are in progress.
