Fans can now snap up in-demand tickets for the Lady Jags crunch-time home FIFA World Cup and Concacaf Women’s Championship qualifier matches, which would be played at the Leonora Track and Field Centre on the West Coast of Demerara.
Those tickets are available at the following places: MVP Sports at C1A and C1B Giftland Mall at Turkeyen, ECD; West Indian Sports Complex at 43 Robb St, G/town; High Rise Media, which can be found in the Vendors Market in the township of Bartica; the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Secretariat at Section K, Campbellville, G/town; and the Bartica Football Association’s office in the township of Bartica.
The Guyana senior women’s national team the Lady Jags, atop Group F on goal difference, take on their Central American rivals Nicaragua in a crucial penultimate qualification game on Friday, April 8, from
8pm (20h). With only the top teams from each group set to progress to the Concacaf W Championships, the GFF are calling on fans to come out in huge numbers to support the team.
The Lady Jags face Trinidad and Tobago in what could prove to be the deciding match on Tuesday, April 12, in that twin-island nation.
“We are calling on all football fans to come out and show the Lady Jags the support of our entire nation as they continue this incredible journey,” said GFF President Wayne Forde. “We are so close to writing an incredible story out of an extremely tough group. I would encourage fans to buy their tickets in advance through one of our ticket agents, as we expect a big crowd.”
