Tiger Rentals aboard KFC Goodwill series

Locally based Tiger Rentals is the latest company to join the 2019 edition of the KFC Goodwill Football series set to commence this weekend.
The company, with roots in Trinidad under the Tiger Tanks brand will support the Trinidad based side, Shiva Boys Hindu College that will participate in the tournament.

Operations manager of the local arm Shane Singh, told the media, “We want to express our heartfelt gratitude. We are pleased to be on board and we love being implicated in the nurturing of young talent.”
Singh continued, “Tournaments like the KFC goodwill tournament have enabled the company to understand the importance of team work.”
In a message to the team, he expressed the company’s best wishes to all participating, adding that the support that is behind the tournament is community rooted.
Petra Co-Director Troy Mendonca in opening remarks said, “The Petra organization is very ambitious with this tournament. The tournament is in its embryo stages and in a few years from now, we want to see a plethora of teams from across the region to participate.”
Meanwhile, the French Guiana team that had previously been scheduled to participate in the tournament indicated that they will not be able to make it.
According to an email from the organizers PETRA Organization, the, “USL Montjoly has withdrawn from the competition due to the unavailability of managerial personnel.”
They will be replaced by the TradeWind Tankers GUYOIL third place team which is Marian Academy.
Mendonca said, “We understand that there were difficulty in getting a manager and we are going to facilitate them but there are parents who aren’t willing to send their children without a manager.”
In the interim, the inclement weather has forced a change in the venue for the first four playing from the Ministry of Education Ground Carifesta Avenue to the Guyana Football Federation’s Training Centre in Providence.
