Transport Sports Club thrash MYO in practice match

The Transport Sports Club defeated the Muslim Youth Organization (MYO) by 127 runs in a practice match played at the MYO ground on Saturday, 27th February, 2021.

MYO won the toss and ask Transport to bat, and Transport made 269 in 37 overs, with the match being reduced to 40 overs due to a late start because of overnight rain.
Myhiem Khan brought up his 50 with an extra cover four, and went on to score a brilliant 67, decorated with 12 fours and 1×6 before falling to Bryion Bowen, caught and bowl. Alvin Mohabir made 29, Kelvin Gordon chipped in with a breezy 18, and extras contributed a healthy 56.
Bowling for MYO, Shaid Anwar, Zahir Khan, Bryion Bowen and Fazil Mohamed each took 2 wickets.
In reply MYO were bowled out for 127 runs, with Avinash Rajkumar scoring 21 and Shaid Nazem scoring 25 runs. When Transport bowled, Little Reaz Latif, bowling his leg-spin, took 3 for 11, while John Persaud took 3 for 20.
This match was played in good spirit, and gratitude is hereby being extended to the management of MYO and the curator Cheddie, for the use of the venue and the preparation of the pitch respectively.
