Unidentified man found dead on Lusignan roadway

The body of an unidentified man was discovered early Saturday morning along a roadway at Lusignan, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
The discovery was made on Saturday, at about 08:20h,
According to police, a resident of Lusignan saw the motionless body lying along the roadway and immediately raised an alarm. The matter was subsequently reported to the ranks at the Lusignan Police Outpost.
Following the report, police visited the scene where the body was examined. Investigators said that, at the time of the initial inspection, no marks of violence were observed on the exposed parts of the body.
A medical practitioner on duty later arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead. The body was then escorted to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where it remains pending a post-mortem examination.
