Upper Corentyne, Upper Demerara/ East Bank record wins in low-scorers

2017 GCB/Jaguars 3-Day League Round 1 day 2

Upper Corentyne and Upper Demerara/ East Bank, two teams that failed to impress in the 2016 Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Jaguars Franchise League 3-day Competition, each got their 2017 campaign off to a positive start with respective wins against West Berbice and Georgetown inside two days yesterday.
At the Lusignan Community Centre Ground, talented national all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford expressed his ruthless self with the ball as he claimed his second five wicket haul inside two days to spearhead his Upper Demerara/ East Bank side to a narrow 26-run win in a low-scoring match which saw 409 runs being scored in four completed innings.
