Warriors ready for 1st practice match today

The Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) tournament is just days away, and all 17 Guyana Amazon Warriors in the squad are fine-tuning their preparation under the watchful eyes of Head Coach Roger Harper and Assistant Coach Esuan Crandon.
Frantic preparations are ongoing daily at the Guyana National Stadium at Providence, and the boys will have their first practice match on Sunday, July 30, from 6PM.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors, most consistent team in CPL, will test their readiness against a Guyana Select XI with the likes of Paul Wintz, Akshaya Persaud, Romario Shepherd, Anthony Adams, Tevin Imlach and Eon Hooper.
The cricket loving Guyanese public is encouraged to go to Providence and get a first-hand look at the Guyana Amazon Warriors, especially since there will be no admission fee.
The fifth staging of CPL opens on Friday, August 4 in St. Lucia with the St. Lucia Stars taking on Trinbago Knight Riders at the Darren Sammy National Stadium, while Guyana Amazon Warriors get in the action the next day against St. Kitts and Nevis Patriot in Lauderhill, Florida.
The Amazon Warriors squad is comprised as follows: Martin Guptill, Rayad Emrit, Sohail Tanveer, Babar Azam, Jason Mohammed, Chadwick Walton, Rashid Khan, Steven Taylor, Keon Joseph, Gajanand Singh, Roshon Primus, Veerasammy Permaul, Assad Fudadin, Steven Jacobs, Steven Katwaroo, Keemo Paul and Muhammad Ali Khan.
