Richie Looknauth is truly a son of West Demerara’s cricket. After his all-round heroics for the Guyana Harpy Eagles in the West Indies championship, the West Demerara Cricket Association extended congratulations to Looknauth.
The all-rounder scored 77, his maiden first-class fifty, and claimed nine wickets in the match, including figures of 3-86 and 6-36.

“Richie produced a match-winning spell of 6-36 in the second innings, helping the Harpy Eagles secure a dominant innings-and-21-run victory. He also contributed valuable runs with the bat, continuing to showcase his immense talent and commitment at the regional level.”

Looknauth and the Harpy Eagles will be in action again from Sunday, May 17, in the final of the West Indies championship against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force.
