The stage was set, the crowns were ready, and anticipation filled the air as Guyana witnessed the grand and successful conclusion of the Miss, Mrs, Teen & Mr India Guyana 2026 Coronation last Sunday at the Princess Ramada Hotel, Providence, East Bank, Demerara (EBD).
It was a spectacular evening that brought together beauty, culture, confidence, talent, intelligence, and purpose – celebrating not only the art of pageantry but also the remarkable individuals who embody leadership, service, empowerment, and excellence.
After an exciting journey of preparation, personal growth, dedication, and competition, four exceptional delegates emerged victorious and began a new chapter as Guyana’s newest titleholders:
Miss India Guyana 2026 – Dharmini Meghoo
Mrs India Guyana 2026 – Romona Singh
Miss Teen India Guyana 2026 – Janvi Mohanlall
Mr India Guyana 2026 – Mohamed Ali Khan
Each crown represents far more than a title. The newly crowned ambassadors now carry the responsibility of representing Guyana, celebrating its rich Indo-Guyanese heritage, and promoting the values of leadership, community service, cultural pride, confidence, and empowerment.
Celebrating women of substance & excellence
Among the evening’s most memorable moments was the presentation of the Maharani Award 2026 – Woman of Substance Award to Guyana’s very own Sophia Dolpin.
The prestigious recognition honoured her remarkable contribution, strength of character, resilience, and positive impact. Her journey serves as an inspiration to others and reflects the true meaning of a woman of substance – someone whose influence extends well beyond the spotlight and whose accomplishments inspire meaningful change.
Another distinguished moment came with the presentation of the Icon of Excellence Award to Mrs Alicia Bess Anderson, recognising her outstanding contribution, dedication, and excellence in the areas of pageantry and personal development.
These special recognitions added tremendous depth and meaning to the celebration, reminding everyone that the true essence of a crown goes far beyond beauty. It is about character, achievement, influence, purpose, and the ability to use one’s platform to inspire and uplift others.

The evening was further enriched by an exceptional cultural performance from the Ishara Dance Troupe, led by the talented brother-and-sister duo Kumar and Shivanie Latchman.

With the national coronation now complete, the journey for the newly crowned Miss, Mrs, and Teen India Guyana 2026 titleholders continues onto the international stage.
Dharmini Meghoo, Romona Singh, and Janvi Mohanlall will proudly prepare to represent Guyana at the Miss, Mrs & Teen India Worldwide Pageant, scheduled to take place in September 2026 in the beautiful twin-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago.
As they step onto the international stage, they will carry with them much more than their crowns. They will carry the pride, hopes, encouragement, and support of Guyana, representing their homeland with grace, confidence, dignity, and purpose.
