3 Venezuelan women on bail for injuring each other during brawl

Three Venezuelan women were on Tuesday granted bail for attacking and injuring each other during a brawl at Third Avenue, Bartica, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni), on Sunday evening. Beilyn Hernandes, 20, self-employed, and Benyerlin Hernandes, 21, a saleswoman, both of Third Avenue, Bartica, were charged for injuring Yillen Romero on August 9, 2026. They appeared before Magistrate Caressa Henry at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where the charge was read to them. They both pleaded not guilty and were each granted bail in the sum of $75,000.
On the other hand, Romero, 37, a businesswoman, was also charged for unlawfully wounding Beilyn Hernandes. She too appeared in court on Tuesday, where she was granted $75,000 bail after pleading not guilty to the charge when it was read to her. The three women are expected to return to court on September 8, 2026.
