$3M up for grabs at Horse Racing & Duck Curry extravaganza

The Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) collaborates with Anirude and Son Construction Company to take things to a different level on and off the track at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne on Sunday.

Thousands are expected to throng to the famous venue to be a part of the grand one day horse race meet and Duck Curry Competition.

Seven races are listed on the days programme with over $3M in cash trophies and other incentives up for grabs.

Horse racing action returns to Bush Lot Farm on Sunday like never before

The feature event is for horses classified E and lower over a distance of seven furlongs for a first prize of $400,000M and trophy. Among the runners are Golden Blue Echo, Goodwill Boy, Settling Star, Brace Sky, It’s MY Choice, Got To Go and Campador.

The horses running in the event for H and lower animals will be racing for a winner’s purse of $220,000 over six furlongs.

There is an ‘I’ class six furlongs event for a winners money of $160,000 and trophy.

The three years maiden event has attracted a winners take of $150,000 and trophy over five furlongs.

Horses classified K and lower will be racing for a winning package of $120,000 and trophy over five furlongs.

There are two L class races with the first being for L non winners over five furlongs for a winning pocket of $100,000 and trophy.

The other event is for L non earners with the winner set to ride away with $80,000 and trophy also over five furlongs.

Outstanding performers will receive trophies and other incentives compliments of Ramesh Sunich of trophy stall Bourda Market and the organisers.

Other attractions will include games and a fun section for kids including trampoline, face painting and bouncy castle.

The duck curry competition will begin boiling at 10:00h while race time is 12:00h.
