…in daring home invasion at Friendship
Days after Police recorded a 10 per cent dip in serious crimes, three armed bandits infiltrated the dwelling of a 65-year-old farmer, shooting him in the right thigh as they made good their escape with an undisclosed sum of cash from the pensioner’s Friendship, East Bank Demerara (EBD) home.
According to information received, the armed robbery occurred at 06:45h on Sunday. Police were up to late Sunday hunting the suspects following investigators obtaining a spent shell from a small calibre weapon from the cash crop farmer’s home.
