The 8-a-side team battle saw the hosts snatching victory in the 600 Yards range to pip the ex-champs by 8 points, after finishing with 372 compared to the Guyanese on 363. In the 300 Yards, Guyana shot 376 with 27 Vs, while the Bajans managed 368.18.

Following the 500 Yard Range, both teams were neck-to-neck, with the Barbados shooters going hard at their targets to edge their opponents by statics — 377.24 versus Guyana’s 370.26.

Heading into the final Range, the 600 Yards, Barbados tapped into their experience and their home field advantage to give their team some much needed glory after more than five decades and a tough competition dominated by the Guyanese marksmen.

Star shooter was Barbadian Marlon King, who racked up 147.9 points, while Peter Persaud led the way for the Guyanese team with 144.11. The GNRA team, meanwhile, won the Individual title (Ransford Goodluck) while retaining their Long Range title.
