A competition history which dates back to the first edition of the tournament, Bishop’s ensured the script was in their favour as compared to last year where they lost on sudden death penalty kicks in the quarter-finals.
Captain Imran Khan put the Carmichael Street unit ahead in the 3rd minute with a superb free-kick on the outskirts of the penalty area which sailed into the top right of the net.
Keron Niles then increased the lead when he tapped the ball into goal amidst the confusion by the Queen’s College backline from a left corner in the 10th minute.
A solo effort from DeAndro Kirton in the 14th minute gave Queen’s College a chance at reviving their fortunes but steely defending by Bishop’s ensured that they progressed to the quarter-final stage.
