Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh this evening announced an increase of the ‘Because We Care Cash’ grants will be increased from $25000 to $35,000 per child. This will place an additional amount of $2.1B in the homes of children attending both public and private school.
A total of $94.4B was allocated to the education sector in 2023.
This year’s budget is themed, “Improving lives today, building prosperity for tomorrow.”
