CBB captures inaugural Female Festival Volleyball title
Classic Ball Blasters (CBB) outplayed Castrol Strikers in three straight set to claim the inaugural title of the Guyana Volleyball Federation (GVF) Female Festival which was recent contest at the National Gymnasium.

CBB won 25-15, 25-22, 25-13 to claim top honours after being led by Most Valuable Player and Best Striker Tiffany Whittington. Leanna Miller was also instrumental in the clubs win; she carted off with the Best Server award.

other individual award, Best Blocker, went to Phitame Simpson from Port Mourant.
In an invited comment from President of the Federation, Levi Nedd, he stated that he is pleased to be the organizer of this programme which was not played for some 41 years in Guyana. He added, tournaments also brings out the talents in the females and it was good to see the comradery among the three teams both on and off the court which is good for the sport.
This competition was made possible with the support from a number of former players.
