Transport Sports Club (TSC) and Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) will meet today in the final of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/ Guyana Diabetics Association (GDA)/ PAHO Under-17 T20 Tournament after convincing victories in last Saturday’s the semi-finals.
The match which was rescheduled due to heavy rain in the city last Sunday will feature some of the nation’s leading youth cricketers, namely Sachin Singh, Joel Spooner, Ashmead Nedd, Kevlon Anderson, Alphius Bookie and Adrian Hinds.
The first ball is expected to bowl off at 13:30h at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) Ground, Bourda.
The final is a rematch between the two sides which met in the group stage when TSC got the better of DCC.
With a very strong unit comprising of several national players, DCC will be aiming to turn things around as they seek consecutive titles.
Meanwhile, TSC will be banking once again on a complete team effort to get them across the line. Their unit might not be as powerful as their counterparts but their efforts have already provided positive results to get them to the final.
