The autopsy conducted on the body of 29-year-old businessman Orin Boston of Hoppy Street, Dartmouth, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), showed that he died from haemorrhage and shock caused by gunshot injuries.

Boston was shot and killed by the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit in the wee hours of Wednesday during an “anti-crime” operation.
The autopsy was conducted on Thursday by Government Pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh at the Suddie Mortuary who also stated that a single warhead was extracted from the body of the deceased and handed over to the Police.
Boston owned and operated the “Ease Meh Stress” bar, located at Hoppy Street, Dartmouth. It was reported that ranks were conducting an anti-crime operation in Division Two (Essequibo Coast), and entered Boston’s house to search for “prohibited items”. However, during the search, the Police stated, there was a confrontation between Boston and the Police, which resulted in him being shot to his upper left arm. He was transported to the Suddie Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police Commissioner Nigel Hoppie has ordered an immediate and thorough investigation into the fatal shooting of the businessman, and the SWAT member who fired the fatal bullet has been placed under close arrest.
Meanwhile, the Home Affairs Ministry has said it is concerned about the shooting.
It said in a statement it said, “The Ministry wishes to advise that the circumstances leading to, and resulting in, the loss of life would be thoroughly and independently investigated.”
