The Police are on the hunt for two men who reportedly robbed a duo of their cash and mobile phones at a construction site at Orealla Avenue, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown on Wednesday evening.
The Police have said that at about 20:30h on the day in question, a 41-year-old male and his 60-year-old counterpart were at a construction site when they were attacked by the perpetrators, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Held at gunpoint, the two men were ordered out of the yard and were made to lie on the parapet with their faces towards the ground. The perpetrators then relieved the men of three mobile phones and about $172,000 in cash, before boarding a black-and-red XR motorcycle and making good their escape.
No one was injured during the ordeal, but the matter was reported to the Police and an investigation has been launched.
