EBECC distributes cricket gear to affiliates

The East Bank Essequibo Cricket Committee (EBECC) on Saturday had a Special General Meeting and distributed cricket gear to the various affiliated clubs.
EBECC Chairman and Essequibo Cricket Board (ECB) Vice President Vishal Ambedkar and ECB Treasurer Shazim Nasrudeen made the presentation. Ambedkar related that this donation was part of a $4 million cricket gear drive to seven Area Committees of the ECB.
The Chairman thanked the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) and the ECB for the wonderful and timely gesture to assist cricket clubs with the necessary equipment, as they strive to produce quality cricketers at the county and national levels.
Clubs that received gear were:
* Parika Sports Club
* Cold Fusion Sports Club
* Hydronie Sports Club
* Hyde Park Sports Club
* Zeelugt Sports Club
* South Side Sports Club
* Vergenoegen Sports Club
Tuschen Sports Club did not accept any of the cricket equipment, because it was a club’s decision to ensure that all the other clubs receive the much-needed gear. Club members expressed their gratitude to the EBECC for this donation and promised that the equipment would be well-utilised and cared-for.
