Emanuel Archibald is the new face of Malta Carib!

…signs with brand for one year

Local companies continue to utilise local athletes as brand ambassadors, and National Senior and Long Jump Champion Emanuel Archibald has signed a one-year contract with Malta Carib.
The contract, signed on Tuesday June 22, will make Archibald the face of Malta Carib, with the top sprinter and long jumper having a significant chance to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics in July.
In addition, Malta Carib has paid for Archibald’s ticket to the Bahamas, where he will compete this weekend.
Archibald, who recently won silver for Guyana in the 100M sprint at the South American Senior Championships, has said this is a moment he has been dreaming of.

“I am pleased to receive this sponsorship from Malta Carib; and I just want to thank God, my parents, and the Brusche Family for keeping me grounded to this point in my life,” he gushed. “This moment is something I wrote down since 2018 as a goal, and to receive this is like a dream come true. The belief of betting on yourself and hoping that one day someone sees your hard work paved the way for such a moment. I am thankful for this sponsorship, and (am) looking forward to a long-term partnership with this great company,” Archibald stated at the contract signing.
Country Manager for Carib Brewery Limited (CBL), Kelvin Singh, highlighted the importance of such relationships with athletes.
“We are extremely happy to commence this partnership with the very talented Mr. Emanuel Archibald, that will span for the next twelve (12) months. Emanuel has been one of the top and most consistent athletes during past couple of years to represent Guyana. We believe that these strategic relationships are required to support the athletes and provide sustenance during the year, rat

Meanwhile, Brand Manager of Malta Carib, Gabriel Lopes, mentioned that Malta Carib is proud to associate itself with such a hard-working athlete.
“Emanuel has the heart and focus it takes to become an exceptional athlete. He is already halfway there, and Malta Carib is delighted to be partnering with him to assist in making his dreams a reality. Just look at his track record so far, he was able to set the Guyanese record in the long jump, and now he aims for bigger and better. We believe that this is just the beginning of greater things to come for him,” Lopes said.
Archibald will be heading to the Bahamas on Thursday, where he would participate in a meet that can possibly raise his ranking in the long jump. He would also be trying to qualify for the men’s 100 metres event in the Olympic Games.
