Six months after the fatal road accident in November 2025, a 25-year-old man of Pomona Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following the incident that claimed the life of a 17-year-old girl.

Ronald Stoll appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court on Fridaybefore Magistrate Ravindra Mohabir, where the charge of causing death by dangerous driving, contrary to Section 35(1) of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 51:02, was read to him.
Stoll was not required to enter a plea at the time of his appearance however, the prosecution applied the Administration of Justice Act, and he subsequently pleaded not guilty. He was represented by attorney-at-law Onassis Granville.
The prosecution objected to bail; however, the court granted bail in the sum of $1 million on the condition that Stoll report to the Suddie Police Station every other Friday of each month. The matter has been adjourned to June 18.
The charge stemmed from a fatal accident that occurred on November 23, 2025, on the Riverstown Public Road, Essequibo Coast, in Regional Division No Two.
Police reported that the collision involved motor car, PXX 3695, driven at the time by 17-year-old Naomi Singh of Huis’t Dieren, Essequibo Coast, and motorcycle CP 7725, driven by Stoll.
Investigators said both vehicles were travelling in opposite directions along the north-south public road when the collision occurred. It was alleged by the motorcyclist that the motor car veered into his path, resulting in the impact.
Following the collision, the car reportedly struck a utility pole, spun several times, and came to a stop on the roadway.
Singh sustained severe injuries and was taken to the Suddie Public Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
