Everest CC AGM is today

Members of the leading cricket club in Georgetown, Everest Cricket Club will have their Annual General Meeting (AGM) today with current president Rajesh Singh pipped to be re-elected.
The meeting is expected to be called to order at 18:00h and after the annual reports from the club’s captain, treasurer and president the general body will begin nominations and voting for the new executive body which will take office for a one-year term.

Following the 2017 AGM, a few of the executives have since moved on from the club and new faces are expected to surface today.
Singh who has completed 25 years as a member of the club noted that 2017 was very challenging but it has made him tougher and more equipped to deal with what’s ahead as he tries to make the club a better place for all.
The president thanked the general membership and staff for the support in 2017 and is keen to hit the ground running with the new body when re-elected.
