At the end of the presentation, President of the Guyana Boxing Association, Steve Ninvalle, said, “On behalf of the executive members of the GBA, we would like to thank the GOA for this gesture. I know how serious COVID-19 has been, this will help us a lot. We’ve just received permission from the Ministry of Health, and we are supposed to have an encampment shortly at the National Gymnasium, for which we have been given approval by the Government of Guyana.
“The GOA has been no stranger to the GBA, and we just want to thank them for all the support! We are very thankful! We just hope that this continues, with or without COVID-19.”

Also sharing sentiments at the simple ceremony was Vice-President of the AAG, Amanda Hermonstine, who related that the AAG is grateful for this timely gesture, and she knows that it would do well for the association, owing to the fact of the upcoming South American 10K this Sunday. She vowed that it would be well utilised.
