Guyana under-19 proved superior to Windward Islands on day one of their fourth round clash of the three day segment of Cricket West Indies Regional Under-19 Tournament yesterday in St. Kitts.
At close Guyana were well placed at 89-1 which is 64 runs behind Windward first innings total of 153 all out. Batting all-rounders Javed Karim and Kevlon Anderson are the batsmen at the crease on 45 and 24 respectively.
Raymond Perez is the batsman back in the hut.
Earlier left arm orthodox spinner, Ashmead Nedd bagged five wickets to finish as Guyana’s best bowler. Spinners dominated for the Guyanese as Kevin Sinclair, Ritchie Looknauth and Kheshram Seyhodan all accounted for a scalp apiece.
Guyana started this round in second place after a win and two draws in the previous rounds.
