Local entrepreneur to launch Guyanese version of BET’s “Cypher”
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kast Talent Management, Khamisi Sloee has indicated his interest in bringing “The Cypher” to Guyana.
While he is aware of the US version, he noted that the Guyanese version will be a bit different. Instead of the group type, he will focus on individuality.
During the interview, he stated that the project is a collaborative venture between himself and his production team (based in the US), Honest Illusions.
This America-based and operated business is a production house focusing on marketing, production and corporate brand building. Aside from the foreign production team, everyone else is Guyanese including the cameramen, sound engineers and performers.
The production, Cypher 360, is slated to be launched in August and Sloee said that due to his love and respect for the arts and entertainment industry in Guyana, he was approached by his production team to showcase talented locals.
The show will be aired internationally and the first season will be a 13-episode stint. Once the reviews are within calculations, the next season will be green lighted.
Airing will be once a week and each episode should be 1 hour long. He will also be collaborating with Channel 67 when production starts to have it aired.
